Pieper Automation, due to internal growth & expansion, is looking for our next Machine Safety Engineer in Atlanta, GA.
The Machine Safety Engineer will be responsible for scope writing, performing risk assessments, performing validations, performing press inspections, system design, and resource management.Work under the direction of the Department Supervisor or Branch Manager to perform pivotal functions in a challenging machine safety-oriented workplace. Develop automation and safety projects from concept to fruition using industry-accepted practices. Use creativity and work with the engineering team to develop concepts into plans. Work with the production team and field team to develop plans into deliverables. Develop quality control programs to ensure deliverables meet customer expectations. Organize and manage project documentation and provide quotes and scopes of work to customers. Perform on-site risk assessments and safety system validations.
This position will be 70% field work and 30% office work with up to 50% overnight travel.
Preferred candidates will have experience with controls and machine safety hardware.

- Demonstrate a general understanding of the following:
- Perform Validations of SRP/CS and Write Reports to follow
- Perform Risk Surveys and Risk Assessments
- Write Risk Assessment Reports
- Perform OSHA Press Inspections
- Interacting with CAD, Engineers and Lead Engineers
- Interacting with the customer
- Industrial controls and basic ladder logic
- Basic installation skills and ability to work with hands and tools
- Maintain files and quality checks
