Establish, maintain, and ensure compliance with the company credit policy. Conduct credit checks to onboard new customers and assess customer credit worthiness. The purpose of this position is to minimize company credit risk by performing credit evaluations, establishing customer credit limits, and adjusting customer credit terms as needed.

- Conduct credit checks on new customers to assess customer credit worthiness
- Establish appropriate credit limits as needed
- Communicate across the organization accordingly with recommendations on how the company should conduct business with a potential new customer (ie. Payment terms, securing payment bonds, etc.)
- Maintain customer master to ensure there are no duplicates and customer credit limits and payment terms are updated accordingly
- Identify and communicate credit risk within the organization
- Follow escalation process to ensure appropriate authorizations are in place in areas of disagreement with business and the Credit Specialist identified risk areas.
- Establish and maintain a customer credit policy and perform regular (potential annual) assessment of customer credit risk 85%
- Make recommendations to improve quality of credit procedures.
- Assist with reconciling customer accounts as needed
- Send out monthly statements to customers (mail and email) and as requested
- Assist with scanning and filing of documents
- Onboarding customer billing platforms as needed
- Back up for Cash Application Specialist
- High School degree or equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 2 – 5 years experience with credit analysis
- Excellent communications skills, verbal and written
- Positive safety attitude and personal integrity – both are non-negotiable
- Strong spreadsheet skills and a good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
