- Review proposal specifications, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
- Comprehend industrial electrical applications and code.
- Comprehend industrial electrical control schematics and drawings.
- Prepare disciplined estimates by calculating complete take-off of scope of work.
- Coordinate estimating effort relevant to particular estimate as assigned.
- Review and approve take-off and estimates done by estimator trainees under him/her.
- Submit bids and proposals on projects estimates.
- Prepare breakdown of estimate. Provide estimate information to Project Manager.
- Prepare reports as requested.
- Introduce cost saving ideas through redesign (Value Engineering opportunities).
- Industrial electrical field installation experience required
- High School education required
- Any estimating experienced preferred
- Any experience with estimating software is preferred
- 2-year technical degree preferred or apprenticeship or equivalent experience
- We are looking for a detail-oriented person with experience with electrical work for industrial applications.
- Read and understand building drawings, specifications, wiring schematics, control wiring diagrams, and ladder wiring diagrams.
- A journeyman electrician with industrial experience would be a preferred candidate.
