Position Overview
The Leasing Agent is responsible for attracting and retaining residents by showcasing the community's properties and amenities, handling leasing agreements, and delivering exceptional customer service. The Leasing Agent plays a key role in maintaining high occupancy rates and ensuring a positive living experience for residents. The below outlines the primary requirements of the job.
Key Responsibilities
Leasing and Sales
- Welcome prospective residents, conduct property tours, and highlight the unique features of the community.
- Explain lease agreements, terms, and community policies in a clear and professional manner.
- Follow up with prospects through various communication channels to secure leases.
- Prepare and process leasing paperwork accurately and in compliance with legal requirements.
- Meet or exceed leasing goals and occupancy targets.
Customer Service
- Provide outstanding service to current and prospective residents, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Assist residents with maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution.
- Foster a welcoming community environment through regular engagement.
Marketing and Outreach
- Assist in implementing marketing strategies to attract new residents.
- Create and distribute promotional materials, such as flyers or social media posts.
- Participate in community events and outreach activities to increase visibility and drive traffic to the property.
Administrative Tasks
- Maintain organized leasing records, resident files, and reports.
- Process rental applications, verify applicant information, and conduct background checks.
- Collect and process rental payments, security deposits, and other fees as required.
- Conduct regular inspections of available units to ensure readiness.
Collaboration
- Work closely with the property management team to address community needs and achieve goals.
- Support maintenance staff in addressing unit readiness and facility upkeep.
- Participate in team meetings and provide input on community improvements.
The hourly wage will consist of $14-16 per hour depending on experience as well as commissions and bonuses which could add and additional $4-5 per hour.
