Job Description Job Description Job Summary : Responsible for setting up tables, chairs and linens, as well as perform other duties related to the set up and breakdown of event rooms all while maintaining Pier Sixty’s high standards of qualityCompensation : Hourly $18.00Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Set event rooms per diagram.Stack and store equipment in lumber-room when not in useAssemble and breaking down the dance floors and maintain cleanliness.Place linen and skirting on all tables for functions.Set tables with water glasses, pads, pencils and candies for meetings unless otherwise instructed.Pin-spot tables.Refresh rooms in between functions and room turns.Move all lumber for room turns.Assist captains and Banquet Service Managers during events.Travel, as necessary, to different properties / venues.Perform all reasonable requests by the management team.Follow proper time keeping policies and proceduresTravel, as necessary, to different properties / venuesUtilizing and driving golf cart or loading cart to move supplies form one pier to the other would require a valid driver licenseAssist coworkers with completion of assignments when neededPerform any general cleaning tasksKeep work area clean and well organizedAttend and participate in all scheduled meetings and training sessions. Perform all reasonable requests by the management teamRequired Qualifications, Skills and AbilitiesPrior hospitality / events receiving experience preferredHigh School graduate or equivalent preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customersMust be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitudeMust have a positive attitude about service, teamwork, and motivation to go above and beyondAbility to speak some of the English language in order to effectively communicate with internal and external customersAbility to work independently or in a team settingAble to work flexible schedule in order to accommodate business levels.If Driver License acquired, must ensure safe driving and transport of supplies, materials, tools, equipment and other products and must adhere to annual driver license background checks to ensure validity for drivingPhysical Requirements : Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions, including meeting productivity standards.Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendanceAbility to lift and carry 50lbs; ability to load, unload, push, pull up to 100lbsAbility to stand, bend, stoop on a consistent basisAbility to work in confined spaces.Other Responsibilities : Maintain professional appearance and behavior when in contact with guests and team members.Follow Policies and Procedures in training manuals and Team Member handbook,Follow proper time keeping policies and proceduresFollow the sign in and out procedure for keys as necessaryAbility to work independently or in a team settingAble to work flexible schedule in order to accommodate business levelsIf Driver License acquired, must ensure safe driving and transport of supplies, materials, tools, equipment and other products and must adhere to annual driver license background checks to ensure validity for drivingMust have a positive attitude about service, teamwork, and motivation to go above and beyond
