Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor
Reports to: Director of Property Operations
Exempt/Nonexempt: Nonexempt
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily maintenance and repair of all Pier Sixty Collection facilities. This includes ensuring the building, electrical, plumbing, and other systems are well-maintained and working properly. The role involves supervising a team, making sure work gets done on time, and helping to maintain a safe and clean environment for everyone.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise and schedule the maintenance team, providing guidance and support.
Help train the team and provide feedback to ensure work is done correctly and safely.
Assist in creating and following schedules for regular maintenance of equipment, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems.
Conduct daily walk-throughs to check for maintenance issues and ensure tasks are being completed.
Communicate with other departments to make sure everyone is working together.
Ensure all work is completed safely, following proper procedures and regulations.
Perform hands-on work when needed and ensure that repairs are done correctly.
Monitor the team’s performance and assist with any issues that arise during their work.
Keep the work areas clean and organized.
Attend team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on company procedures.
Help out with any other tasks as needed by the Director or team.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
High school diploma or equivalent, or experience that gives you the necessary skills.
At least 2-4 years of experience in maintenance or a similar role, with some supervisory experience.
Good understanding of general maintenance tasks like plumbing, electrical work, painting, and carpentry.
Ability to lead a team and make sure jobs get done on time.
Ability to communicate clearly with the team and other departments.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle issues when they arise.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Must be flexible and willing to work different shifts if needed.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs and pushing/pulling up to 150 lbs.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop regularly.
Must be able to work in different temperatures and sometimes in tight spaces.
Must be able to safely operate machinery and tools.
