The position requires adherence to safety protocols and knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and tools.
Key Responsibilities :
Welding and Fabrication :
Weld and join metal components such as beams, girders, and plates using techniques like MIG, TIG, stick, or flux-cored arc welding.
- Fabricate structural parts based on blueprints, specifications, and work orders.
Material Preparation :
Cut and shape metal materials using tools such as torches, grinders, saws, and shears.
Structural Assembly :
Assemble metal structures and components by fitting and welding parts together.
Quality Control :
Inspect welds and structures to ensure they meet industry standards and project specifications.
Repair and Maintenance :
Repair and reinforce existing metal structures by welding, cutting, and reshaping.
Safety and Compliance :
Adhere to all safety standards and regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Collaboration and Communication :
Work with engineers, foremen, and other trades to ensure project goals are met.
Skills and Qualifications :
