We are looking for youth transporters to drive a 16-passenger van and transport youth to various events and programs. You will meet young people and families in their homes, in the community, and at schools and build relationships with youth while transporting them where they need to go.

Pierce County Juvenile Court's probation department is committed to making a powerful contribution to the health and safety of our community. By actively engaging with youth and families, we are building positive and trusting relationships that best advocate for the needs of our families. Our role is to ensure every family and youth are well informed throughout their interaction with the court and receive the right resources and support to be successful. Subsequently, every youth and family should feel valued and empowered throughout their experience and enabled to transition successfully into the community
- Meet young people and families in their homes, in the community, at schools, etc. Build relationships with youth while transporting them to the various programs.
- Facilitate relationships with community partners and co-workers to relay information regarding the safety, behavior, and well-being of each young person.
- Participate in trainings and meetings as needed.
- Maintain the highest integrity and follow the rules of conduct for Pierce County Juvenile Court employees.
- Ability to work evenings, days, and/or weekends to meet transportation needs.
- Ability to drive a 16-person passenger van.
- Ability to work no more than 16 hours per week.

- High School Completion or G.E.D.
- One or more years’ experience working with youth ages 12-18.
- Additional education and experience may substitute for the recruitment requirements.
- A valid Washington State driver's license is required.
- Ability to successfully complete a Pierce County background investigation and polygraph exam is required prior to employment.
