Nature of the Work:
You will be responsible for performing a wide variety of maintenance tasks for grounds and trails, restroom buildings, and the structures within the park. You will learn and participate in maintenance activities associated with a variety of skills and trades. Core Daily Responsibilities:
- Perform general parks maintenance work such as, but not limited to trail grooming, weeding, trimming, and mowing
- Perform janitorial duties for public restrooms
- Assist with opening and/or closing of park operations
- Other duties as assigned
Special Notes:
- Ashford is near Mt. Rainer. If snow accumulates, the park closes operations and shifts are cancelled during those times.
- This position will work a varied, part time schedule to assist in small projects under the supervision of Parks' staff.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to safely lift, push and pull 50lbs
- Ability to work all terrains in all weather conditions
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Ability to work at Ashford County Park near Mt. Rainer (location approximately 1 hour from Tacoma)
- Ability to work flexible schedule for closing shift, as shift times change seasonally
Desired Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license
