Position Description:
The Pierce Recreation District is seeking a Manager for our Pierce Community Center & Pool. This position coordinates operations and activities, supervises and schedules use of the facility, assists in providing community services and recreational and educational opportunities for participants of all ages.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise facility personnel.
- Help create a friendly, open, and safe environment at the facility.
- Provide a safe, positive after-school program for school-aged youth.
- Develop and create new programs, offerings, and curriculum for community participants.
- Maintain programs and lead classes when needed.
- Establish friendly working relationships with regular participants.
- Develop community partnerships that may provide workshops, classes, programs, lectures, seminars, and/or entertainment for facility participants.
- Maintain record keeping and reports.
- Attend professional development programs, such as writing development and safety.
- Record and deposit receipts.
- Manage facility rental schedule.
- Utilize social media for communication and marketing.
- Research and apply for grants.
- Set up and break down rooms.
- Maintain cleanliness of the Center.
- Attend regular meetings with District leadership.
- Submit requisition requests for purchases.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- First Aid / CPR certification is required. (Paid training will be provided, if not already certified.)
- A minimum of four years’ experience working with youth.
- Experience in managing invoices and receipts preferred.
Licensure:
- Must have a valid Idaho driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must always promote a professional and positive image of Pierce Recreation District through personal appearance and public relations.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours and exhibit a willingness to accept direction.
- Be able to evaluate facility offerings on an ongoing basis to provide relevant learning opportunities.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Be honest, trustworthy, respectful, flexible, and demonstrate sound work ethics.

Starting Rate of Pay: $14.00
