Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our fast paced restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, showcasing expertise in culinary techniques and a flair for creativity. As a Chef, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety. This position is seasonal part-time May through October.

Duties

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Manage food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure all dishes meet established standards before serving.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with sanitation guidelines.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the culinary field.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen management principles.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with both kitchen staff and front-of-house personnel.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
  • A passion for culinary arts with an eagerness to stay updated on industry trends and innovations.
