Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our fast paced restaurant. As a Chef, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety. This position is seasonal part-time May through October.
Duties
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Manage food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure all dishes meet established standards before serving.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with sanitation guidelines.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the culinary field.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen management principles.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with both kitchen staff and front-of-house personnel.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
