Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work directly with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities, implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This role is crucial in providing support and education to clients and their families, fostering skill development, and enhancing the quality of life for those we serve.
Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles.
- Assist clients in developing social, communication, and daily living skills.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and progress notes for each client.
- Educate clients and their families about behavioral strategies and care plans.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Monitor client progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising BCBA.
- Provide support during therapy sessions, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for clients.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to behavioral health and special education.
Requirements
- Must be a Registered Behavioral Therapist with a valid active license number
- Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis techniques and principles.
- Strong skills in medical documentation and record keeping.
- Ability to educate clients and families effectively about care plans and behavioral strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to assisting individuals in need.
- A background in special education or behavioral health is advantageous.
