GENERAL JOB SUMMARY :
The Virtual Reality (VR) Instructional Specialist college will design, develop, and implement VR-based educational programs to enhance student learning and engagement across various disciplines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Collaborate with Faculty to conceptualize and design realistic and engaging virtual reality scenarios that align with curriculum concepts
- Utilize VR concept tools and software to develop interactive and immersive VR environments, including 3D models, animations, textures, and audio elements
- Provide training, technical support, and documentation to faculty and staff on effectively using VR scenarios in education
- Serve as instructional specialist in teaching VR technology to students
- Responsible for troubleshooting, reporting, and client consultation requests specifically for the virtual reality use within targeted courses
- Will develop, implement, and monitor a plan for update and maintenance of VR equipment
- Conduct rigorous testing and quality assurance to provide that the VR scenarios are functional, error free, and conducive to effective learning
- Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in VR, simulation based learning, and education to drive excellence and innovation in scenario development
- Assists with the preparation of course proposals, curriculum updates, and the construction of programs.
