2024 Season: Landscape Garden Designer (Account Manager)

Reports to Owner/Op Mgr. Exempt position does not require work in the field. Does not manage others.

Summary: An Account Manager figures out what landscape customers want and need then solves their landscaping problems. They are positive folks who meet homeowners at their home, create beautiful proposals, then meet and discuss these solutions with the homeowners in person to secure their business. A successful Landscape Designer must be professional, attentive, timely, and honest as well as have a positive attitude.

Requirements: No sales experience required!

At least (1) ONE full year of actual fine gardening, landscape remodeling, or a related experience is required to be considered.

Robust customer service experience, positivity, and being a good person. Our in-house design, horticulture, and account manager training and education process is incredible and we’re confident that a person with a positive attitude will be successful. Must have reliable transportation to meet customers at their homes as well as fluency in English. Due to the need to meet customers in a timely manner, applicants must live within 15 minutes of our Headquarters near Victoria, MN.

Successful Candidates must have an eye for design and ability to convey ideas by imagery. Candidates should have experience with Word, Docs, be able to sketch or draw, use photo editing, or know Canva online photo editing, or be able to learn quickly.

Compensation and benefits:

Sales commissions of 8.0% of total project amount sold for Landscape Gardening remodel projects. Does not include Porch Pots or Gardening maintenance cadences.

Base pay of $12,000.00 USD per year. Garden Designers should make $32,000-50,000 in total compensation designing gardens and talking to people.

Pre-tax Health Reimbursement Agreement (HRA) of up to $300 per month of employment pays you for the health plan you want.

Paid Time Off (PTO).

Responsibilities:

· Successfully complete and practice our week-long, paid world-class education and training program.

· Meet customers at their homes for appointments in a professional, comfortable, and timely manner and follows our process for working with customers.

· Create beautiful, clear, and accurate designs, proposals, and paperwork in a timely, professional manner using Google Docx, Microsoft Word, Excel, Canva, and other software packages.

· Must fit our company culture by using magical communication with customers and staff; must be positive, attentive, timely, and honest.

· Converts a fair, specified percentage of leads to sales within a specified periods determined by the Owner/Op Mgr.

· Sells outstanding projects and services within the company’s capabilities to meet or exceed company profitability standards.

· Helps staff with Marketing initiatives such as promotions, Social Media and advertising needs, and related.
