JOB TITLE: Facility Maintenance Technician

REPORTS TO: Facility Maintenance Manager and Director of Materials and Logistics
FACILITY MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN SUMMARY: Join our team as a Facility Maintenance Technician and become an essential part of ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our facilities. In this role, you will apply your skills to perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions across our building systems. FACILITY MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains open and accurate communication with field employees.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and service calls from building occupants.
- Conduct preventative maintenance tasks to ensure efficient operation of building facilities.
- Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical, plumbing, and mechanical issues.
- Oversee and manage contractors for major repair work or renovations.
- Maintain records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and building codes.
- Perform general cleaning and upkeep tasks, such as painting, carpentry, and landscaping.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of events or meetings held within the building.
- Safely operating a box truck to deliver goods to designated locations, following routes and schedules.
- Loading and unloading cargo from the truck using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment, ensuring items are properly secured
- Adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on landscaping equipment and tools.
- Mow, edge, and trim lawns and grassy areas using power and manual equipment.
- Clocks in and out for activities throughout the day in Pierson Wireless’ project management cloud solution.
- Provides support to other team members and staff as needed. Submits receipts and expense records.

FACILITY MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in building maintenance or related field.
- Strong understanding of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repair skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools safely.
- Knowledge of lawn care, plant maintenance, and pest control practices.
- Proficiency in using landscaping tools and equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible availability, including potential for on-call shifts.
