Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Front of House Operations Manager to join our team. As a Front of House Operations Manager, your primary responsibility is to the customer, ensuring that every guest has a wonderful experience. To be successful as a Front of House Operations Manager you should have excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service. You should be someone who leads by example, both in how you interact with your team as well as how to support our guests. You will also assume a variety of responsibilities and duties such as recruiting and hiring restaurant staff, training, overseeing food quality, as well as greeting and serving restaurant guests, and supporting service. Below is a more exhaustive list of your expected duties.

Responsibilities
  •  Overseeing Daily Operations:
    • Ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day operations of the front-of-house (FOH) areas, including the lobby, reception, dining areas, and customer-facing teams.
  • Customer Service Management:
    • Monitor customer service quality, handle guest inquiries, and resolve complaints or issues to ensure a positive customer experience.
    • Train and coach front-of-house staff on excellent customer service practices.
  • Staff Supervision:
    • Supervise and manage FOH staff, including host/hostess, servers, bartenders, and bussers.
    • Assign shifts, manage time-off requests, and ensure staffing levels meet operational needs.
  • Training and Development:
    • Onboard and train new FOH staff on policies, procedures, and service standards.
    • Implement continuous staff development and provide feedback to ensure skill improvement and adherence to standards.
  • Inventory and Supplies Management:
    • Monitor and manage front-of-house inventory, ensuring sufficient stock of supplies such as menus, uniforms, and guest amenities.
    • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Health and Safety Compliance:
    • Ensure that the front-of-house area complies with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the FOH areas at all times.
  • Financial Management:
    • Oversee daily cash handling and ensure proper procedures for cash register operations, credit card transactions, and tips distribution.
    • Monitor and manage budgets for FOH operations, including labor costs and supplies.
  • Scheduling and Shift Coordination:
    • Create and manage FOH employee schedules, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours and special events.
  • Guest Relations:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with regular guests and high-profile customers.
    • Handle guest reservations and coordinate with kitchen or bar staff to ensure seamless service.
  • Collaboration with Other Departments:
    • Work closely with kitchen, bar, and management teams to ensure seamless communication and operations across the venue.
    • Participate in meetings and provide feedback on guest preferences, service improvements, and team performance.
  • Performance Monitoring:
    • Evaluate staff performance and provide constructive feedback.
    • Recognize and reward excellent service, and address any areas of improvement for staff.
  • Event Coordination:
    • Coordinate special events, private parties, or group bookings within the front-of-house area, ensuring everything runs smoothly and guests are satisfied.
  • Problem Resolution:
    • Act quickly to resolve operational issues, staff conflicts, or guest complaints in a professional and efficient manner.

Qualifications
  • Ideally, 2 years of experience as a Director of Hospitality, General Manager or similar role
  • Ideally, 5 years of experience in customer service experience
  • Computer literacy
  • Strong leadership, motivational, and people skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Salary : $75,000 - $80,000
