ABS Global, a Genus PLC Company, has an exciting opportunity for a Production Supervisor (Third Shift) to lead and develop a high-performing team in our laboratory operations. As the Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing laboratory production, ensuring quality standards, and fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and teamwork. Leading a team of technicians and a shift lead, you will play a critical role in achieving production goals while developing your team members and continuously improving processes.
The hours for this position are 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM, Monday - Friday
- Lead and mentor a team of Production Technicians, providing coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
- Oversee daily lab operations, ensuring production goals are met or exceeded while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
- Manage shift scheduling, production planning, and workflow to optimize efficiency.
- Conduct training and onboarding for new team members, ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and compliance with documentation requirements.
- Own and drive key operational metrics related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) for your shift.
- Participate in and lead cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Conduct timely and meaningful performance evaluations while proactively addressing employee relations matters, including coaching and performance management.
- Act as a subject matter expert within the team, providing technical guidance and support where needed.
- Promote a strong safety culture, identifying and mitigating workplace hazards and ensuring all safety policies and procedures are followed.
- Collaborate with other shifts and departments to drive seamless operations and process improvements.
- Perform other projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Basic Qualifications: (required)
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Prior experience working within a production laboratory setting.
- Prior experience supervising and managing teams.
- Ability to lift/transfer 46 lbs. frequently.
- Strong attention to detail and focus on maintaining the highest level of quality at all times.
- Ability to maintain professional verbal and written communications with co-workers, internal and external customers, and vendors at all times.
- Skilled at conflict resolution.
- Proficient experience with Microsoft Office products.
Qualifications (preferred):
- Bachelor’s degree in technical field, preferred, but not a requirement.
