Summary:
Responsible for overseeing and managing an assigned security shift, ensuring all posts are covered and work assignments are properly delegated. This includes managing alarm systems, notifying relevant personnel for repairs or replacements, addressing any arising issues, filing shift reports, scanning documents to the server, and handling Incident, Injury, and Accident reports—taking, distributing, and scanning them as necessary. Additionally, ensures the Security Director is kept informed and supervises security staff.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Manage the security and surveillance staff.
- Interview and train candidates for security staff.
- Create strategic plan to coordinate security patrols of warehouse buildings, parking lots, and entrance to facility.
- Monitor video surveillance system and use communication equipment to ensure security protocols are enforced by security staff.
- Designate scheduling to ensure sufficient staffing for all security posts and shifts.
- Create security reports for each shift to submit daily.
- Initiate security and disciplinary procedures in compliance with company policies.
- Review existing policies and procedures and suggest improvements where necessary.
- Enforce protocols for screening visitors, vendors, and transportation/delivery drivers.
- Provide reports on effectiveness of security measures and enforcement for daily review.
- Perform investigations according to established company policies and procedures.
- Contact local authorities and EMS as necessary.
- Determine proper levels of escalation and correct response by security personnel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Customer service oriented with the ability to de-escalate confrontations.
- Strict adherence to company security policies to protect the company from potential negligent claims.

- Utilize professional expertise to improve security equipment and establish relationships with vendors.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) to effectively communicate with administrative personnel and staff.
- Extensive experience with security equipment such as restraints, flashlights, first aid kits, alarm and CCTV surveillance systems, etc.
- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in criminal justice or other security related field preferred, or at least one-year of experience as a security supervisor. Consideration will be given to candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- To perform this job successfully, a candidate should have knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, inventory tracking software, internet software, alarm systems, and video monitoring systems.
