Job Summary
The Produce Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the produce department within a retail environment. Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the produce department, including inventory control and stock management.
- Ensure all produce is fresh, well-displayed, and meets quality standards.
- Collaborate with sales teams to develop promotional strategies that increase produce sales.
- Train and develop staff on best practices in produce handling, customer service, and retail math.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and product sales.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers to address inquiries or concerns.
- Implement safety and sanitation standards in accordance with company policies.
- Utilize cash register systems for transactions and ensure accurate cash handling.
Experience
- Proven experience in a retail environment, preferably in a managerial role within the produce department.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
