What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supermarket Stocker position at Piggly Wiggly?
We are seeking Stockers to join our team at the Crestline Piggly Wiggly. The Stocker will be responsible for organizing and replenishing products in a retail or warehouse setting.
Responsibilities:
- Stock shelves with merchandise according to organizational standards
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in conducting regular inventory counts
- Ensure products are correctly priced and labeled
- Assist customers with locating items and provide excellent customer service
- Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the stockroom and sales floor
Experience:
- Previous experience in stocking, warehouse, or retail environments preferred
- Knowledge of inventory control practices
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures
- Ability to use RF scanners for inventory management
- Strong organizational skills to manage stock efficiently
- Multilingual abilities are a plus for assisting diverse customer base
- Experience handling produce is advantageous
