Position Purpose
As a member of the design team, the Design Specialist and Showroom Coordinator will support the design and sales teams in the execution of deliverables for business opportunities. This position is responsible for the development, coordination, and ongoing maintenance of corporate standards related to ancillary vendor partners and resource libraries in all Pigott locations. The Design Specialist and Showroom Coordinator is also responsible for overall office management and upkeep, creating an exceptional customer experience, facilitating meetings and events, and providing support to the office team members.

Position Accountabilities & Performance Expectations
Design Specialist responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide timely assistance to sales and design departments with the selection, specification, pricing, COM application & testing results information, preparation of presentation boards, and/or AutoCad or CET input of any ancillary products needed for applicable project opportunities.
- Compile all information and literature that is pertinent to ancillary vendor lines. This includes information such as categorization of each vendor, current representation (including name and contact information), current dealer discount, freight policies, vendor website addresses, and all other applicable information.
- Develop corporate standards for the ongoing maintenance and organization of above information accessible by all Pigott locations.
- Develop and monitor corporate standards for the review of key performance measures for preferred vendors in all ancillary categories. Feedback should be obtained on a consistent basis, from all members of our organization, in order to ensure that all quality and customer service issues are recorded. Recommendations for updates to this information should be presented to management staff for approval, and then communicated to sales and design staff in all locations.
- Manage swatch wall and design resource library, including ordering and replenishing all samples.
- Ensure that the appearance of the resource libraries is in accordance with our corporate showroom standards at all times.
- Coordinate and attend rep meetings in order to maintain a high level of knowledge of our industry and its associated products, methods, promotional strategies, and technology.
- Maintain all additions and discontinuations of Herman Miller product information, fabric and finish samples, price books, addendums, and all other marketing materials in all locations.
- Travel to all Pigott locations as needed to ensure that the functions listed above are being adequately performed and that the showroom standards are being met.
- Perform other design duties as assigned.
Showroom Coordinator responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Create the appropriate customer experience by greeting and directing all guests and incoming phone calls to the appropriate Pigott representative in a positive and timely manner.
- Help to maintain hosting calendar.
- Manage and support the internal and external meetings by scheduling and preparing meeting rooms and assisting with food, beverage, and other items as needed.
- Maintain general office upkeep and appearance by scheduling cleaning, plumbing, and carpet cleaning and addressing any other issues that occur.
- Order and maintain all office and hosting supplies for all locations.
- Assist with new hire onboarding by workstation set-up, ordering business cards, and other items as needed.
- Manage FedEx, UPS, and US postage meter.
- Oversees incoming and outgoing correspondence, including mail and packages.
- Perform other showroom coordinator duties as assigned.

Position Requirements
- BS, BA, or BFA degree in Interior Design or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; exceptional telephone technique and proofreading abilities.
- Ability to work independently prioritizing work while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Capable of prioritizing and multitasking.
- Ability to work the time necessary to complete projects and/or meet deadlines.
