Job Title: Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP)
Responsible and accountable for the respiratory management, treatment, control and care of patients with respiratory deficiencies.
The RCP must demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide care suitable for various age groups. This includes assessing patient data, interpreting relevant information, and identifying individual needs relative to their age-specific requirements.
Care is provided in accordance with department policies and procedures, taking into consideration the patient's age and utilizing approved processes to address biophysical, psychological, educational, and environmental needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Work in four designated areas within PIH Health Hospitals, as outlined under Education/Experience/Training below.
- Utilize computer operation skills, including mouse and windows applications.
- Exhibit expertise in auscultation of the chest, physical assessment of patients, and monitoring of vital signs.
- Operate electronic monitoring devices and possess a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
Requirements
- 12 years' experience within PIH or a Bachelor of Science in an allied health field.
- Hold certifications such as Certified / Registered Pulmonary Function Technician (CPFT, RPFT), Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (NPS), Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACCS).
- Possess and maintain valid certifications like Adult ACLS, BCLS, and Pediatric (PALS) certification, as well as a valid Los Angeles County Fire Card.
