What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instrument Room Technician, Sterile Processing, Surgery, Full time, 10am-6:30pm position at PIH Health Whittier Hospital?
Works independently, performing all tasks related to the reprocessing and sterilization of surgical instruments. These tasks include maintenance, decontamination, prepping, sterilization and proper handling and storage.

Required Experience
- One (1) year of experience in acute health care
- IAHCSMM (International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management) certification preferred
- Previous experience in sterile processing preferred
- Knowledge of surgical instruments and their use
- Knowledge of supplies and equipment used during sterile processing.
Preferred:
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
