DURATION
This is a temporary part time position that will continue for the duration of the grant period, ending between October 2025 and December 2025 (date to be determined by extension approvals).
POSITION SUMMARY
This position is designed to facilitate the Strengthening Connections Pilot Program. The goals for this program will be accomplished by working with Children and Youth, Advocates and families to identify family/kin connections for each identified child. The use of several varying search websites, engagement and collaboration will be key to accomplishing accurate and timely data collection and submissions. Training, accurate record keeping and coordination between all contributing parties is critical to ensure the program runs smoothly. The administrative clerk is involved in providing logistical support to ensure that all aspects of the Strengthening Connections Pilot Program run smoothly for the duration of the funding period.
QUALIFICIATIONS
- High school diploma is required with two to three years of direct work-related experience, preferred.
- Clear background checks, including Criminal History, Childline and FBI Fingerprint clearances.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task.
- Demonstrated organizational and administrative skills.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated skills in conflict resolution and problem solving.
- Ability to interact with others in a respectful, effective and responsible manner.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties aimed at enhancing the ability of CASA volunteers to identify family and fictive kin connections for children they serve within the foster care system.
- Committed to working in close partnerships to ensure goals, objectives and key milestones for the project are successfully met.
- Working closely with the identified advocates to search for and identify family/kinship resources for the identified foster children.
- Complete monthly grant related time sheets and narrative reports.
- Complete all required training courses by due dates; support and assist advocates in completing all required trainings by grant established completion dates.
- Adhere to and support advocates in meeting all data collection timelines.
- Must adhere to Court, County and CASA policies and procedures.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point and Microsoft Outlook to create multiple types of documents, forms, and reports.
- Ability to learn to process search requests on various programs to locate family.
- Flexibility to conform to varied work during the workday.
- Committed, conscientious and detail oriented.
- Good communication skills, both orally and written.
- Maintain Strengthening Connections search and engagement files, monitor and track contact progress.
- Assist in training volunteers on using the tools to identify and engage family members and other supportive adult connections.
- Review Monthly Reporting Forms.
- In the course of regular job duties, develop and maintain relationships with staff from other agencies.
- Support the office as needed.
- All other duties are deemed necessary.
