Carbon Procurement Forester

Basic Function

Responsible for the procurement of standing timber for the assigned company sawmill(s).

Responsibilities

• Purchase standing timber for the assigned company sawmill(s).
• Maintain records of all contacts with landowners in company database.
• Assist with sale of logs not being used in Pike sawmills.
• Performs related work as required as directed by their supervisor.

None Required

Certifications/Licenses

Driver’s License

Timber Buyer’s license

Certified training in Indiana BMP’s - preferred

Physical Requirements for Work Comp Light Duty

• Be able to walk over hilly, rough terrain for an entire day (8 hours).
• Be able to climb, squat, stoop and twist to maneuver through the woods and obstacles such as downed trees.
• Be able to push or pull logs or other debris out of way.
• Be able to drive for 5 or more hours.
