Position Summary : The Fleet Mechanic Helper (Yardman) is a semi-skilled position in the repairs and inspection of equipment.
Essential Functions :
- The Fleet Mechanic Helper will assist the Fleet Mechanic in all the following duties : Responsible for 70 – 100 pieces of equipment per region. Assist Fleet Mechanic in Managing Deployment of Equipment across regions, cities and states. Possess knowledge of equipment mechanics ranging from as large as a crane to as small as a chain saw. Work safely while performing repairs or maintenance on a job site in various weather conditions. Assist in troubleshooting in various localities regarding equipment repair, maintenance and deployment. Frequently work around energized high voltage systems requiring skill and care to protect the lives of themselves and others while performing job. Assist in maintaining company vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order. Does all other related work as required to complete the job.

The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is performed in outside weather conditions.
