The Lead Accountant will oversee core accounting operations for SaaS company, including general ledger oversight, compliance with accounting standards, financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives. As a key member of the accounting team, the Lead Accountant ensures the accuracy and timeliness of financial data and supports scalability as the company continues to grow in the SaaS space. This role partners closely with the General Ledger Accountant, the Accounting Clerk, and other cross-functional stakeholders and reports directly to the Director of Accounting.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong accounting foundation and a desire to play a lead role in building scalable processes. They enjoy digging into details while keeping a broader financial perspective, and thrive in collaborative, evolving environments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or actively pursuing required
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with SaaS revenue models and deferred revenue principles under ASC 606 required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (Intacct, NetSuite, Expensify, Salesforce Billing a plus).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
• Collaborative mindset with a willingness to support and guide others.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills.
• Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $48.00 - $57.00 per hour
