Pikes Peak International Raceway has been home for many in the motorsports community across the Colorado and Western Region where we host events for not only the motorsports community but events of all types featuring music and entertainment, vendors, a 1 mile hi-banked oval, 1.3 mile road course, and a 1/8th mile drag strip.
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Facilities Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various facilities systems, ensuring a safe and functional environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service. The Facilities Technician will work closely with the Facilities Manager and other team members to oversee maintenance tasks and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in performing quality checks on HVAC
- Assist in repairing broken or leaking plumbing
- Assist in repairing damaged electrical wiring
- Assist with routine maintenance around the property such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door, roof, fence or wall repair
- Assist with construction projects such as framing new walls or building sheds or other structures.
- Assist with applying preventative measures to the property to reduce the risk of future problems, such as using a sealant on a flat roof
- Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
- Checking and responding to security and safety issues
- Doing landscaping, pest control, and snow removal
- Assisting with road repair and maintenance
- Maintaining Cleanliness of all property( Cleaning Bathrooms and other areas, Grounds keeping and trash removal)
- Running Forklifts and other machinery to complete various tasks around the property
- Assist with painting maintenance around the property
- Assist in fence repair, and/or installation of both permanent and temporary fencing
- Assist in event set up and tear down
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- .Must be able to walk long distances
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be self sufficient
- Must posses above average communication skills
- Must posses basic skills and knowledge of basic hand tools and equipment
- Must have at least 1 year experience (May over look this requirement for the right candidate)
Work Conditions
- Must be able to work in inclement weather
- Must be okay working in loud environments
- Must be okay working in crowds

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
