Position Summary
The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Shipping Manager in the day-to-day
operations of the department.
Responsibilities
- Generate customer orders using the ERP system (SAP)
- Prepare shipments by pulling, assembling, packing, protecting, and labeling finished product.
- Verify items and prepare final checklist paperwork.
- Ship completed sales orders, repairs and rentals.
- Use ERP software to process and track domestic, express, and freight shipments.
- Prepare, process and distribute paperwork as required and maintain as records.
- Follow safety rules and regulations and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience/Education Requirements
- Basic computer literacy and navigation is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- 2 years of shipping domestic and international packages
- Knowledge of UPS, FedEx and DHL systems is preferred.
- 1 years of using an inventory management system / ERP is preferred.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must be flexible, organized and have the ability to multi-task.
- Must take and pass forklift certification class.
- 1 years of operating pallet jacks, forklifts, and lift trucks is a plus.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
Physical Requirements
- Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.
- Requires extended periods of standing, walking, sitting, and heavy lifting.
- Normal or corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Level of Supervision
- This position reports directly to the Shipping Manager.
Hours/Schedule
- 8:30am – 5:00pm EST
- Monday through Friday
