delivery driver/helper

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Delivery Helper to join our team. In this role, you will assist in the timely and efficient delivery of goods to our customers. Duties

• Assist the delivery driver in loading and unloading items from the delivery vehicle, ensuring all items are handled with care.
• Help navigate delivery routes efficiently while adhering to safety regulations.
• Ensure that all deliveries are made accurately and on time, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks for moving heavy items as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the delivery vehicle and warehouse area.
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during the delivery process.
• Perform routine checks on the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) regularly throughout the shift.
• Experience working in a warehouse environment is a plus.
• Familiarity with operating box trucks and other commercial vehicles is advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
• A valid driver's license may be required depending on specific job duties related to route driving or courier responsibilities.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends if necessary.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
