furniture delivery driver

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, a chauffeurs license,commitment to customer service, and the ability to handle heavy lifting and loading tasks. This position requires a keen attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods.
• Load and unload products using pallet jacks and forklifts as necessary.
• Navigate assigned routes effectively while adhering to delivery schedules.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
• Communicate with dispatchers regarding any issues or delays encountered during deliveries.
• Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients upon delivery.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
• Familiarity with route driving and local traffic laws is essential.
• Experience operating manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) and manage physical tasks associated with loading and unloading.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations is beneficial, including experience with courier services.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
