- EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS
Mechanical ability and aptitude with willingness to learn. Understanding of injection molding and manufacturing processes and equipment a plus. Familiarity with injection molding machines is preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary
- Set-up molds in presses and auxiliary equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve molding and manufacturing related problems
- Complete tear-down and reassembly of molds
- Comply with all relevant ISO 9001 and PIP policies, procedures and processes
- Document manufacturing processes and procedures
Secondary
- Operate molding machines as required (such as relieving breaks)
- Performs other duties necessary to assist in plant operations, and to keep manufacturing operating and producing quality products.
SUMMARY OF PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
The Manufacturing Technician lifts up to 50 lbs and carries objects in a safe manner; operates hand and power tools and equipment; is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; stands for prolonged periods of time; must wear personal protective equipment as required; frequently works in cramped work spaces that require getting into awkward positions; is exposed to vibration. Ability to read, analyze and comprehend manufacturer's manuals. A valid driver's license with clean driving record.
