What are the responsibilities and job description for the Audio Visual Lighting Director position at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church?
The responsibility of the church audio, video, and lighting (AVL) director will be to ensure the proper use and maintenance of AVL systems for weekly services. This is a leadership role that requires prior experience in directing AVL teams.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, oversee, maintain, and grow the audio, video, and lighting ministries (including lyrics projection).
- Recruit, train, schedule, and coordinate volunteer teams in AVL.
- Direct the AVL production of all services including Wednesday evenings, Sunday mornings, and as needed.
- Produce weekly video announcements for showing.
- Shoot and produce weekly videos to be used in sermons or elsewhere.
- Maintain AVL equipment and recommend necessary purchases and upgrades.
- Responsible for stage setup changes for all services and rehearsals related to worship services and midweek events.
- Assist other ministry leaders with AVL needs, training, etc.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Training and experience in live and recorded video production and editing, as well as IMAG and live streaming required.
- Experience with video processing gear and software preferred.
- Experience in live audio (analog and digital signal flow and routing), recorded audio, production lighting, and computer presentation software required.
Competencies:
- Good leadership, communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- A demonstrated ability to be a team player.
- Must be dependable and consistent in quality of work.
Salary: $25-$36
