Chicken Plant Worker - Pilgrim's Pride
The Chicken Plant Worker at Pilgrim's Pride is responsible for processing poultry products in accordance with USDA standards while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
This role involves manual labor, operating equipment, and adhering to safety protocols while collaborating effectively with team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process product using tools, manual labor, and equipment provided in accordance with USDA and Pilgrim's Company product standards and procedures.
- Observe equipment operation and notify appropriate personnel of any malfunctions and/or safety issues/concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist others with the skills and knowledge gained from the position.
- Recognize and act on incidents and safety risks.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred.
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions.
- Ability to apply common sense.
- Ability to work in cool temperatures (around 40 degrees).
- Ability to stand and use hands for 8-11 hours per day.
