We seek an experienced Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our Tenaha Truck Shop team. This role involves inspecting and performing preventive maintenance on diesel and gasoline-powered equipment and trucks, all makes and models. Responsibilities include:
- Determine vehicle condition by conducting thorough inspections and diagnostic tests.
- Maintain equipment availability by completing scheduled tasks, installing component upgrades, controlling corrosion, and performing winterization procedures.
- Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems.
- Verify vehicle performance by conducting test drives and adjusting controls and systems.
- Comply with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
- Maintain vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting.
- Maintain accurate records by annotating services and repairs.
- Keep shop equipment operating by following instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs when necessary.
- Manage costs by using warranty options, evaluating service and parts options, and minimizing downtime.
