The PSM Team Lead is responsible for performing the following duties within his/her area of responsibility:

The PSM Team Lead is responsible for performing the following duties within his/her area of responsibility:
- Lead and manage the PSM Regional Managers and all administrative duties as required. Including but not limited to the following: expense reports, vacation balances, performance reviews
- Work with all Pilgrims sites to promote Safe Processes, Projects, Products and People through use of OSHA safe work practices
- Lead and insure all PSM / RMP Compliance Audits are completed as required including: all applicable reports, follow-up recommendations for each facility within region as required
- Lead and insure all Process Hazards Analysis (PHAs) are completed for all locations per the required deadlines and frequency including all written reports and associated follow-up recommendations for each Ammonia refrigeration, or chlorine gas injection system within the company
- Lead and insure the PSM teams at each site in the company follow up and help resolve all PSM / RMP recommendations and other related issues
- Lead Incident Investigation process using Root Cause Analysis for reported Ammonia, or Chlorine leaks for all sites within company
- Help sites within the company continually improve their PSM / RMP programs
- Be current on all new refrigeration codes and standards.
- Work with all sites to maintain the APSM compliance implementation schedule
- Participating as knowledgeable engineer for Process Hazards Analyses and other audits for other sites outside of region
- Tracking and updating all Process Safety Information any time there is a change to the systems
- Helping sites with ammonia refrigeration projects through the scope development and Management of Change processes as required
- Experience in Ammonia Refrigeration, operational and compliance preferred
- Use of Auto CAD a plus.
- Basic knowledge of the operations of Ammonia Refrigeration / Thermodynamic systems
- Ability to complete engineering calculations for ammonia inventory, relief valve design, load and energy balances, ventilation requirements and releases
- Experience using APSM or similar PSM compliance software
- Ability to read and interpret Piping and Instrument and Block Flow diagrams
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals professionally
- Ability to present information and to communicate issues to upper management
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Detail oriented and self-motivated
- Proven project management and change management skills
- Ability to apply and interpret regulatory standards and consensus standards to situations not specifically addressed by the standards.
- Demonstrate ability to respond to crises in an effective, timely and professional manner
- Must be willing to travel as needed!
