ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Delivers direct care for employees at site according to medicaldirectives within the scope of practice and regulations of theState Nurse Practice Act in the applied state. Adheres to healthmanagement policies, protocols, medical directives, and physicianstanding orders according to scope of practice.
- Provides compassionate, quality care toemployees.
- Adheres to all state and federalregulations including OSHA, Worker's Compensation, etc. Adheres toHIPAA compliance of confidentiality of employees' personal healthinformation.
- Participates in health andsafety teaching of employees.
- Establishes andmaintains good working relationships with departmental staff,complex management, supervisory staff, local healthcare providers,and third party administrator (TPA).
- Conductsall assigned and additional job tasks within legal, ethical, andmoral standards of care in a professional and effective manner.
- Maintains accurate documentation and assistsin departmental medical records upkeep. Provides appropriatedocumentation of all care provided in a professional and effectivemanner.
- Keeps department clean and orderly.
- Notifies Occupational Health Manager anddesignee of any pertinent physical and emotional changes ofsymptoms presented by employees.
- Other dutiesas assigned.
- Must be willing to becomeBLS / CPR Instructor certified.
- May requireavailability outside of normal business hours such as coverage foranother shift for vacation, illness, etc.
- Mayrequire travel.
REQUIRED SKILLS &EXPERIENCE :
Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications : 1. Applicant must have a minimumof LPN / RN license in state of employment. 2. AHA CPR / AED / First AidCertification or BLS certification is required, AHA BLS InstructorCertificate a plus. 3. Applicant must have excellent people skills,recordkeeping / injury management experience, plus independentdecision making skills. 4. Bilingual Spanish a plus. 5. Backgroundcheck along with drug and alcohol testing are required. 6. Mustobtain certification in drug and alcohol collections.
