What are the responsibilities and job description for the Poultry Plant Worker position at Pilgrim's?
Description
General Hours:
The standard shift operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
Mandatory overtime and Saturday shifts are also required as scheduled.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work in a cool temperature environment (around 40 degrees Fahrenheit).
- Stand for extended periods, using hands for up to 11 hours daily.
- Multitask and work efficiently.
- Collaborate with colleagues in close proximity.
- Process products according to USDA and Pilgrim's standards and procedures.
- Adhere to operating procedures and quality/quantity expectations.
- Monitor equipment operation and report any malfunctions or safety concerns.
- Respond promptly to incidents and safety risks.
- Prioritize safe work habits and consistently enforce them.
- Familiarize yourself with company animal welfare guidelines.
- Perform other duties as directed by management.
Education/Experience Requirement:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
- Previous experience in food or production is beneficial but not essential.
