Description
This role oversees the production and processing supervisors across multiple departments on a single shift to ensure cost-effective, on-time manufacture of high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directs production operations and personnel to meet established production and quality control standards, ensuring timely delivery and optimal resource allocation.
- Develops short-term strategies to maintain production continuity and balance, including scheduling, material requisitioning, machine loading, conflict resolution, and equipment maintenance.
- Collaborates with other plant function areas to guarantee support in achieving output, productivity, and quality objectives.
- Selects, trains, and motivates the production workforce to consistently attain production schedules at optimal productivity and cost levels.
- Identifies and recommends improvements in production flow or methods.
- Ensures effective implementation of operating procedures designed to eliminate operational issues and enhance product quality.
- Mentors supervisors as needed on job performance and departmental efficiencies.
- Recommends modifications to machines and equipment to enhance production and quality of products.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of directly related experience is typically required.
