Quality Assurance Lead
Position Summary :
The lead QA Technician will be responsible for the daily verification, reporting and follow up of the monitoring tasks performed by the individual line QA Technicians. This position will report to the QA Supervisor.
Essential duties :
Ensure that all line QA Techs are properly monitoring all product spec guidelines;
Ensure that all line QA Techs are performing all monitoring activities according to established procedures;
Ensure that all line QA Techs are properly reacting to out of spec situations;
Ensure that all new line QA Techs have been properly trained, mentored, and all tasks initially verified;
Ensure that all plant policies and procedures are being implemented and properly monitored;
Conduct process audits as needed (Metal Detector, Temperature, Sampling, etc.)
Make sur QA techs are working following what is written in our CGMPs and SOPs;
Conduct plant CGMP audits and follow up on Corrective Actions
Other duties as specified by QA Management
Requirements :
at least 1 year of experience as a QA Technician
experience with poultry plant processes (petfood, debone, killplant, rendering, etc.) preferred
able to work weekends and overtime as needed
must have good interpersonal skills and display ability to work with others
must be able to manage multiple tasks
must be a team player
Basic math skills

Public speaking
Assertive communication
Writing skills (grammar, punctuation and spelling)
Confidentiality is required
Educational Requirements :
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
