Position Overview
The Live Haul Driver will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of trucks and forklifts for the Live Haul Department. This role requires strong driving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow both written and verbal directions.
Responsibilities:
- Drive Live Haul trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
- Operate Forklifts at contract grower locations in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform equipment inspections and report any problems to the Supervisor.
- Perform minor maintenance on equipment as directed.
- Load trucks as required.
- Tarp trucks according to established guidelines during periods of inclement weather.
Requirements:
- Valid Class A Driver's license and acceptable driving record according to Company Policy 622.
- 12 months of verifiable tractor/trailer experience within the previous ten years.
- Valid Pilgrim's Forklift license or ability to obtain license within 30 days.
