About the Position:
As a Produce Associate at Pilgrim’s Market, you will be responsible for maintaining the quality and presentation of our produce department. Your role will include stocking products, building attractive displays, and providing exceptional customer service. You will play a key role in ensuring that our customers have a positive shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stock and face products to ensure shelves are well-organized and visually appealing.
- Build and maintain attractive produce displays to highlight seasonal and featured items.
- Produce and package value-added produce items for customer convenience.
- Clean the department as needed to maintain a hygienic and pleasant shopping environment.
- Provide excellent customer service on the sales floor, assisting customers with inquiries and selections.
- Answer customer phone calls and assist with special order requests, ensuring effective communication and follow-through.
Essential Requirements:
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Flexible availability to meet the needs of the department.
- Willingness to ask questions and continuously learn about the store and industry.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
- Capability to provide and receive constructive feedback for personal and team growth.
- Professional appearance and ability to represent Pilgrim’s Market positively through interactions with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
- Physical ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. repeatedly and stand for the entire shift.
- Ability to work in cold environments for extended periods.
- Proficient in operating equipment, including phones, intercom systems, knives, juicers, heat sealers, pallet jacks, balers, box cutters, and utility carts/u-boats.
