What are the responsibilities and job description for the Capacity and Control Supply Chain Manager position at Pilkington North America Inc.?
Purpose:
- Capacity:
- The Capacity and Control Supply Chain Manager will control various activities including capacity planning and integration of new business for both mid-term (18 mo.) through the S&OP cycle and long-term planning (5 years) through LTCP tools. The capacity management also involves identifying, suggesting and working together with multifunctional teams to move programs within the business, as needed.
- Control:
- The Capacity and Control Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for designing and monitoring processes across the region to ensure reliable information is flowing across the business. From Demand Forecasting to Billing, all processes are expected to occur flawlessly (Perfect Order).
- The processes established should follow best in class SAP design, in line with Manufacturing Excellence and Logistics Excellence and be monitored using live data through SAP Analytics Clouds reports created by this position.
- This position will be responsible for implementing PFEP (Plan For Every Part) along with Regional Supply Chain Managers, Material Group leader and Plant Managers.
As with each role with the Company, everyone is responsible to ensure a safe and clean working environment.

Essential Functions:
- Medium term capacity planning (RCCP):
- Collaborate with Demand Planning teams to ensure Demand Consensus process is being followed.
- Manage and maintain Quintiq database to ensure proper allocation of every part to correct assets.
- Collaborate with Regional Supply Chain Managers to ensure Supply Analysis process is being followed.
- Identify risks and collaborate with Regional Supply Chain Managers to identify mitigation solutions.
- Aggregate data and prepare Pre-S&OP meetings to discuss demand, capacity, loading, inventory, risks and mitigation plans.
- Long term capacity planning (LTCP):
- Develop a capacity utilization tool/simulation to ensure NMI is being properly allocated across assets in the 3 to 5 years horizon.
- Run analysis for all business cases to coordinate the production allocation for new or transferred parts maintaining the long-term planning schedule to support new business
- Prepare and lead quarterly capacity utilization meetings focusing on 3-5 years in the future and highlighting any potential capacity constraints or inefficiencies and make part move recommendations as needed and with awareness of our long-term market strategy.
- Quintiq/Kinaxis Management / PFEP / SAP / SAC
- Maintain all plant routings, part assignments and KPI data in planning systems (Quintiq/Kinaxis) along with assistance from Material Group Leaders and Regional SCMs.
- Launch a Plan for Every Part initiative across all sites to ensure optimal Supply Chain parameters are in place.
- Work as SAP key user, being part of all Supply Chain SAP related requests in the region
- Develop stories in SAC that can be shared, reviewed and used to control processes in the region.

- Other duties as assigned by manager

Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years specific industry/functional experience
- Demonstrated proficiency with Excel, advanced charting, and visual representations.
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent customer relations and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent skills with SAP
Qualifications Desired:
- Experience with SAC or other BI
Salary Range: $113,700.00 to $170,544.00 USD
