Position : Special Education Teacher / Elementary School
Location : Livingston, NJ
Hours : Monday- Friday 8 : 15 am-3 : 15 pm; 12 months with approximately 8 weeks paid recess plus personal time
Salary : 70,000.00 To $85,000.00 Annually

SUMMARY : Pillar Elementary School, an approved private school for students with disabilities, is seeking a dedicated full-time Teacher of Students with Disabilities. The ideal candidate will work in a supportive, team-oriented environment, focusing on delivering individualized education and implementing high-quality curriculum tailored to the needs of students with disabilities. Responsibilities include developing IEPs, utilizing assistive technology, differentiating instruction, and collaborating with staff, families, and service providers to ensure the success of each student.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Implement a high-quality curriculum while differentiating instruction to meet the needs of each child's IEP
- Use a broad range of assistive technology to address the diverse instructional needs of students
- Work collaboratively with professional staff using a team-based approach
- Provide supervision, guidance, and assistance to classroom aides and one-to-one nurses
- Collaborate closely with families to support the students
