SUMMARY :
Pillar Elementary School, located in Livingston, NJ, is an approved private school for students with disabilities serving preschool through middle school. Pillar Elementary School is seeking a Physical Therapist to work in a supportive environment with a focus on teamwork.
This is a temporary, leave coverage position from March through October 2025.
REPORTS TO : Principal
LOCATION : Livingston, NJ
HOURS : Monday-Friday, 8 : 15am-3 : 15pm, part-time and full-time options available
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Develops, implements and monitors high-quality therapy programs for individual therapy sessions.
- Designs, fabricates, adjusts or makes minor repairs to therapeutic equipment for individual students; suggests and monitors provision of appropriate assistive technology.
- Develops educationally relevant IEP goals and objectives; completes daily notes
- Works collaboratively with professional staff using a team-based approach.
- Provides supervision, guidance, and assistance to classroom aides and one-to-one nurses.
- Collaborates closely with families to support the students.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy, New Jersey license as a physical therapist, certification by State of New Jersey as a school physical therapist, and fingerprint examination and approval.
