What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Accounting Assistant position at Pillar Credit Union?
Pillar Credit Union is a growing organization with the mission to help our members reach their financial goals. We are looking for a part-time Accounting Assistant to join our team with a flexible schedule, approximately 25-30 hours per week.
The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal, organizational and mathematical skills. They will be able to assist the Controller with daily tasks within the accounting department with a strong understanding Microsoft Word and Excel. A compelling applicant would be willing to learn about the credit union and care about its members and community.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform Accounts Payable tasks, including the sending of invoice payments and the filing of invoices.
- Perform a wide variety of tasks, including data entry, filing, posting general ledger entries and supporting PCU staff and members.
- Perform the balancing of various assigned general ledgers
- Assist with any audits or exams being conducted
- Create and send dormant member account letters monthly.
Skills
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel software programs.
- Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail skills
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week
