In this important position, you will collaborate closely with Project Managers across our Field Services Division to manage bids, contracts, and cost accounting for a wide range of projects, including Millwright, Concrete, Excavation, Service, and Industrial Construction.
You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of these projects, supporting new business development, and overseeing the fiscal management of high-profile construction projects. Your expertise in contract and cost accounting will be key as you work to deliver exceptional service and maintain strong client relationships.
This position requires the completion of a thorough background and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. In accordance with The Company’s Drug and Alcohol policy, employees are required to participate in random, post-accident and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing as requested.

Your expertise in contract and cost accounting will be key as you work to deliver exceptional service and maintain strong client relationships.
- Interact and coordinate with Project Managers, Purchasing, Compliance, Accounting, etc. to provide and assemble efficient and competitive bidding for complex, multi-trade projects with minimal assistance
- Review and analyze new opportunities and make recommendations to Management on bid/no bid decisions
- Participate in developing standardized bid methods and unit pricing
- Lead and participate in pre-bid meetings, bid review, project start-up, pre-construction meetings, and post construction meetings
- Review and approve job SOV’s (schedule of values), phases, budgets, schedules, unit tracking and DFR (daily field report) templates
- Coordinate with supervisors to ensure proper purchasing agreements are negotiated and in place as required
- Serve as a point of contact for customers on contractual matters and work to ensure positive relationships are developed and maintained
- Administer the change order process for assigned projects to ensure that additional work is recognized, approved, documented, and billed
- Sit, talk, listen, observe, read, write and type
- Position involves sitting, bending, lifting, walking
- 5 years of construction contract negotiation experience and/or formal contract review and negotiation education/training
- 5 years of management experience in the Construction Industry with project execution required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Accounting, Business Management, or related disciplines preferred
- Experience with networking and seeking new business opportunities
- Possess a solid background in Cost Accounting principles
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn project specific software tools
- Must be able to preform multiple assignments, meet deadlines with changing priorities, and balance the needs of multiple projects
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings required
