- This veterinarian will be part of a progressive team of health professionals, producers, nutritionists, geneticists, technical advisors, researchers, and support team members.
- Provides veterinary support and technical services to nucleus, multiplication, sow production, and nursery finish systems, with a primary focus on nursery/finish health and production.
- Conducts diagnostic investigations and prescribes timely, progressive, and effective interventions.
- Ensures exceptional biosecurity processes at all levels of production.
- Additional opportunities include but are not limited to:
- Assists with protocol development and process improvements.
- Oversees animal welfare and Pork Quality Assurance programs.
- Growing internal diagnostic technologies and laboratory capabilities.
- Developing and performing swine health research.
- Executing health monitoring programs.
- Data analysis and reporting.
- Swine experience is preferred, new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, advanced interpersonal communication.
- Ability to become licensed and accredited in Nebraska, Iowa, and South Dakota.
- DVM degree from an accredited U.S. College of Veterinary Medicine.

- Knowledge of swine diseases and the pork industry preferred.
