Job Description:
- This is a welding & maintenance position is involved in many aspects of maintaining our penning systems, feed systems, water systems, ventilations system and concrete slat flooring in good repair.
- Position will require welding repairs to penning systems, repairs to feed systems, repairs/replacement of ventilation curtain systems, repairs to concrete slats
- Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Stick or MIG welding to penning components, feeders, etc
- Repairs of feed systems, including feeders, feedlines and feed bins
- Curtain machine repair/replacement
- Repair/Replacement to concrete slat flooring.
- Repairs/Replacement of water system components
Requirements:
- Welding skills - primarily stick & MIG with some TIG
- Ability to safely operate power tools, including saws, drills, grinders, etc
- Must be able to reach, bend, and stoop frequently.
- Continuous walking and standing; a minimum of 8 hours per day.
- Frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete assignments in a timely manner.
- Comply with all bio-security, safety, and animal welfare policies.
