What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Analyst position at Pillsbury United Communities?
Responsibilities:
Monitor revenue and expenses, anticipate significant variances and cash flow imbalances, and recommend corrective actions- Create custom financial reports in Sage and Excel
- Review financial reports and prepare budgets for the organization and programs
- Analyze budget adherence and investigate variances
- Serve as the primary financial liaison with Operations/Head of Programs, providing necessary information and reports
- Prepare and submit financial reports to stakeholders and funding organizations
- Develop and maintain financial models to forecast outcomes and support decision-making
- Work with the CFO to analyze financial data to assess the PUC’s financial health and identify areas for improvement
- Work with the CFO to analyze financial data to assess the financial health of NM and JBC, and identify areas for improvement
- Work with the Controller and AR Manager to maintain vendors, customers and accounts in Sage
- Lead the NM Sage Conversion
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field- Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the non-profit sector
- Strong understanding of non-profit financial management and grant accounting
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal
- Experience in preparing and analyzing budgets and forecasts
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Sage Intact
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Familiarity with federal and state grant regulations
Knowledge of statistical analysis and data visualization tools
